Paris all its hyped up to be?

I love flying, the take off and landing are the best, the bit in the middle is boring unless there is turbulence. (Yes I know Im weird)

We booked a great deal with easyJet and received really good service. John being 6″2 had a good amount of leg room and it was a quick 1 hour and 20 minute flight from Bristol to Paris, then a taxi from the airport to out hotel (€60) later we discovered it would have been alot cheaper to get the train to near our hotel.

Once we arrived at our hotel, the man on reception was pleasant and check in was quick. Our room was a double and it was quite compact and cosy. View from the room was great at sunset but other than that it was looking out to scaffolding and main streets. But the bed was comfy and we were only there for 4 nights.

In hindsight I do wish we stayed a bit closer to the center of Paris as we had to get the train in everyday which was ok, a bit costly as you had to buy your tickets only using card as there was never anyone in the booth to pay with cash.

The trains were pretty regular and clean and there were double dockers trains (I never knew this was a thing) not even 15 minutes and we arrived into the center of Paris, most attractions were in walking distance just really spread out (definitely get your steps up)

Is Paris worth the hype?

Paris is the most visited city in the world and one of the most popular tourist destinations. It’s known for its stunning architecture, beautiful parks and gardens, and delicious food.

But what about the people? What do they think of Paris? In this post I’ll answer some common questions about visiting this popular city so that you can make an informed decision before going!

What do people think of Paris?

Paris is a beautiful city, with a rich history and culture. It’s also known for its food, art, fashion and architecture. If you’re visiting for the first time or just thinking about moving there someday, here are some ways to get started:

Start with a visit to some of the most popular landmarks like Notre Dame Cathedral or The Louvre Museum.

Take a walk along the Siene river.

If you’re planning to move there, take an apartment tour through Airbnb (and another home sharing sites) so that you can see what living in Paris would be like before committing yourself to living there permanently!

What are some of the famous landmarks to visit in Paris?

If you’re looking for some of the best things to see in Paris, here are a few of my favorites.

Eiffel Tower: One of the most recognisable landmarks in all of France and one that everyone knows about, this tower is a must-visit when visiting Paris. It’s also possible to go up by elevator for free if you have a Le Pass (tourist) pass or Euro-rail pass.

Louvre Museum: This museum was built as an expansion to Versailles Palace in 1793 but was later converted into what we know today as The Louvre Museum after King Louis XVIII moved his court there from Versailles after being exiled during the French Revolution (this happened twice). You can take guided tours through parts of this building that were previously off limits due to renovations taking place at other times during your visit; however, many people recommend just going on their own so they can get even more outta their experience

Champs Elysee’s Avenue: This famous street runs through central Paris connecting Place de la Concorde at its southern end where major monuments like Sacre Couer stand along with shopping galore along either side until reaching its northern end where there’s pretty much nothing but department stores so keep walking until you find something edible.

Moulin Rouge: From feathers and rhinestones to lights, laughter, this is definitely a show you do not want to miss. Just be prepared as the tickets can a bit pricey depending on when you go.

A little less known about place is the aquarium, tucked away to the right of the fountaine du Jardin du Trocadero. This aquarium features many wonderful fish and also has hammerhead sharks!

What is the best time to visit Paris?

You’ll want to visit Paris during the spring and fall, when the weather is mild. Summer can be too hot and winter can be too cold and rainy for many people.

We visited in the autumn when the leaves were turning and their air was just turning crisp. Also it wasn’t so jam packed with all the usual tourist like in summer.

What is there to do for fun in Paris?

Visit the Louvre.

Visit the Eiffel Tower.

See the Arc de Triomphe.

Take a tour of Notre Dame Cathedral and visit its famous stained glass windows (and maybe even catch a performance).

At Sacre Couer Basilica, there’s also a museum dedicated to Joan of Arc that you can check out if you have time on your hands!

It has some interesting artifacts from her life as well as photos taken during her trial at which she was burned at stake for defending France against foreign invaders such as England’s Henry Vlll and Burgundy King Philip Augustus (who wanted to take over all of France).

If you’re feeling adventurous, try out one night club called Moulin Rouge—it has been featured in movies like Pretty Woman and The Artist because it’s so popular among tourists who want something different than what they see everyday back home.

Plus it’s located right next door so if anything goes wrong while partying then don’t worry because there will always be another party nearby where everyone can go!

A trip to Paris can be well worth it.

Paris is a beautiful city, and it’s an excellent place to visit. The city has many famous landmarks and attractions that are worth seeing. There are also many things to do in Paris, so you can spend your time exploring the city or taking advantage of their various activities.

Paris has some great restaurants where you can enjoy some authentic French cuisine! You can also find some very nice shopping areas if you’re looking for something different than what’s available at home.

In Conclusion

The city of Paris is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. It offers a wide variety of attractions and activities for people who are looking for something different than their own home country, as well as many opportunities to experience French culture firsthand.

If you have never visited France before or have never been outside Europe before then now would be an excellent time to do so because there are so many things going on here; from music festivals like Primavera Sound and Rock en Seine (both happening in summer), fashion shows at La Grande Arche de la Défense (which holds exhibitions throughout each year), art exhibits at Musée Picasso & Musée Rodin located across town).

So yes we would definitely go back, although I would definitely pay a little more and stay in the centre of Paris.
